When traveling, I try to find a place where locals go. It didn't disappoint this time as well! Good for breakfast and lunch. Freshly backed bagels, quality toppings of many kind, just perfect coffee. Good for eating in or take out. I will be definitely back to enjoy the meal a few steps away from a busy main street.

What is the secret to the texture and inimitable flavor of our bagels?
First of all, it is our commitment to continuing the traditional Montreal-style method. Our bagels are boiled in water with honey before being baked in our artisan wood-fired oven. We are proud to follow this culinary tradition by adding our boreal touch: we use top-quality stone-ground flour made from 100% Quebec-grown grain, a unique dough recipe and special preparation techniques. The quality of the flour, combined with a slow cold fermentation of our dough, allows us use 40% less yeast and sugar while giving our bagels an incomparable flavor and superior nutritional qualities.

History
Bagel Boréal was born from a passion for well-done artisanal work and cooking over a wood fire. The founders, Alex Chernov and Jean-David Morneau, are both masons specializing in wood-fired ovens and high-efficiency fireplaces. They decided to join forces to offer traditional Montreal-style bagels in Mont-Tremblant, in an oven built by their hands. Proud of their artisan know-how, they now take the same care, with their team, into baking each bagel, making each coffee and preparing each sandwich.
